Today, the field of translation, possibly the larger of the language industry, is far from the dated paper and pen that dominated it for centuries. In the recent past, mainly on the last two decades, translation reinvented itself. New technologies emerged, as well as the definitions that accompany them.
To someone who wants to enter the complex but fascinating world of translation and who never had any contact with its foundations, much of this new technology and terminology will be novelty.
To help those people, we created a glossary that will enable you to learn the terminology associated to the profession. This glossary is not comprehensive and should only be interpreted as a “launch pad” to those who recently took up translation studies or intendo to do so.
