Objectives of education
This elective plays a very important role on the programme, since it defines a profile for tourism and allows the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge and competences: translation and writing in multiple languages; adaptation of cultural contents to diverse audiences; narrative studies/ storytelling; orality adapted writing, script writing.
Key learning outcomes
– Contextualize case studies of the current offer on cultural tourism.
– Identify multimodal narrative models.
– Analyse multimodality and storytelling concepts and their applicability on cultural tourism.
– Develop competences for narrative construction according to the communicational situation.
– Produce narratives from a script including speech and sounds.
– Acquire techniques and methodologies for audio content recording.

2. Introduction to key concepts about: narrative, storytelling, multimodality, identification, oral writing.
3. Identification of types of information content management on cultural tourism.
4. Production and translation of multimodal narratives.
5. Experimentation of sound moulding tools.

Teaching methods
Teaching methodologies on each module are based on the presentation of contents, case studies analysis to apply and consolidate the acquired knowledge and developed competences.
Students will be asked to complete a set of tasks, progressively, in order to prepare a final audio production work. Questions will be answered through the forum on the teaching support platform.
Assessment methods
Mandatory continuous assessment:
1. Oral presentation of study case analysis (20%).
2. Delivery of a portfolio with specific tasks to progressively build and test the viability of the final project (30%).
3. Final audio production assignment.
Major evaluation criteria will be the student’s progression, his or her capacity to reflect about the task completion process and critical analysis of the final paper.
